Coronado Island sits in the Indian River on the North Causeway, the road that links downtown New Smyrna Beach to the beachside. It's a small island neighborhood rather than one gated subdivision: canal-front streets of single-family homes and a handful of waterfront condo buildings. The Volusia County Property Appraiser uses the name only for the Riverwalk at Coronado Island condominium, so expect to see listings labeled by street or building as often as by “Coronado Island.”
